Suspension system
The AR Performance parts suspension set has gone through extensive testing
on public roads (with speed bumps and bad surfaces) and on tracks such as
Spa Francorchamps and the old and new Nurburgring. The product is
developed from our championship winning Alfa GTV6 group A race car.
Because a race car is entirely different to a road-going car we obviously
had to make some changes.
All components are high quality steel and the housing matches the racing
shocks. However the racing shock is adjustable on bump and rebound
and at high and low speed. For the fast street & track day set this
would be far too expensive so we settled on a valve rate compromise for
all round fast driving in all conditions. The product is thoroughly
and professionally tested for you so you will be able to use your car’s
performance with confidence.
Together with our front anti-roll bar the car is a delight to drive and
is also so much easier to drive fast than it was ever before. The front
is gentle but pointy. When you steer, it responds immediately without any
hesitation. The back will no longer feel sloppy and traction will always
be excellent during hard cornering thanks to the front anti-roll bar which
ensures that the rear inside wheel will have enough weight so it won't loose
grip. Braking is vastly improved as the car will no longer dive under
hard braking. It is even possible to alter the brake balance with more bias
to the rear now. The car feels rock solid and performs like a modern sport
car.
